A marvelous opportunity for a team of Mental Health Trainers 

Required Experience

Trainers will have:

 

• An in depth understanding of mental health conditions, and the barriers people with mental health conditions face when seeking and sustaining employment (although some delegates will not have this employment emphasis in their job roles).
   

• A good understanding of how the client interacts with claimants using different communication channels including telephony and face to face.
   

• The ability to bring to life and put into context pre-prepared training material – overlaying their own knowledge and experience.
   

• A requirement to attend pre-delivery meeting/s to foster good relationships with the clients Learning and Development Officer co-deliverer/s and to prepare for delivery of events.

 

The Training

The materials, which will be supplied to the selected deliverer in advance of the national rollout, have been developed with the intent to achieve the outcomes below. The f2f training delivery should recognise these objectives and enhance content to reinforce the same goals.

 

Session Objectives

​

• Recognise the effect of their personal impact and respond appropriately to unexpected behaviour. 
   

• Identify customers’ ability to proceed with the intervention at that time.
   

• Identify customer’s needs, take responsibility and signpost appropriately.
   

• Identify sources of support and methods to help themselves to take care of their own wellbeing.
   

The learning design is based on the reverse classroom technique and delegates will have undertaken three hours of e-learning prior to the 1 day face to face events.
